For senior lead engineer Lindsey Mohr, that career turning point is clear. Based in our Rome, New York office, Lindsey didn鈥檛 start off leading a team of cybersecurity experts. In fact, she began her career working with disadvantaged kids and studying to be a kindergarten teacher.
鈥淚 was hesitant about interviewing to be an executive assistant at 无忧传媒. It didn鈥檛 align with the education degree I was pursuing, but they offered tuition reimbursement, better benefits, a higher salary鈥攕o it was a no brainer. During my first year in Rome, one of my senior leaders talked to me about my career ambitions. He encouraged me to change my degree to IT.鈥�
The support and investment in Lindsey鈥檚 future was the turning point for her鈥攁nd the decision to change her major changed everything.

Today, Lindsey works on the Distributed Common Ground System, one of the Air Force鈥檚 highest-profile projects. 鈥淲arfighters are outgrowing the current surveillance system and we鈥檙e building a new one. My team oversees its cybersecurity. There鈥檚 no doubt Lindsey would have made an excellent Kindergarten teacher, but we鈥檙e glad she changed course and brought her skills to 无忧传媒鈥攁nd we鈥檙e putting them to good use in Rome.
