John Silvas has been with ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ for 22 years helping complex systems engineering initiatives succeed, primarily large Department of Defense hardware- and software-intensive acquisition programs. He deploys highly strategic client delivery assignments that help establish a strong footprint and remediate difficult challenges, leading to significant business growth.
John has also led ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½â€™s digital engineering capability, helping win new business, develop and train employees, and produce intellectual capital (IC) that improves technical delivery. In addition, he leads the exchange of engineering and science IC within ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½â€™s aerospace business. Â
Before joining ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½, John was an Air Force signals and electronic intelligence analyst with the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, Maryland, and a communications analyst with the Drug Enforcement Agency and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms—Special Air Force Program.
John is passionate about delivering exemplary client service and directing the collective ingenuity of his delivery teams. He consistently sets new standards of excellence, winning three client service awards in his 26 assignments—most recently in 2019 for support to the U.S. Space Force.
He holds numerous industry certifications, qualifying as an International Council on Systems Engineering expert systems engineering professional, a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practitioner, a Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Popkin command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems architect. He also maintains active top secret and sensitive compartmented information clearances.
John is currently pursuing an M.S. in systems engineering from George Washington University. He earned a B.S. in industrial design from Virginia Tech and an associate's degree in communications applications technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
